About the Role:

Responsible for helping coordinate and execute strategic publication plans, managing therapeutic area specific publication-related tactics, and completing other medical affairs projects as assigned.

Your Contributions (include, but are not limited to):
  • Utilize therapeutic area (TA) expertise to develop and communicate scientific platforms through insightful contributions to the publication plan and other Medical Communication deliverables;

  • Support the partnership with the publications agency in managing the tactical execution of the publication plan.

  • Help manage author/ key opinion leader (KOL) relationships and work with author teams to develop publications.

  • Identify, procure and interpret the findings of emerging scientific literature relevant to the Company development programs

  • Work with the Medical Communications team to help manage and plan projects with broad organizational participation including: publications, Advisory Boards and Steering Committee meetings;

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:
  • PharmD, PhD degree and 2+ years of related experience, or post-graduate pharmaceutical industry fellowship is preferred OR

  • MD degree and Some related experience or post-graduate pharmaceutical industry fellowship is preferred

  • Current license in relevant healthcare discipline

  • Understands key business drivers and uses this understanding to accomplish work

  • Has strong understanding of processes, procedures and systems used to accomplish the work and recognizes downstream impact on other functional areas

  • Proficient with tools and processes that support work conducted by functional area

  • Ability to work as part of a team; may train lower levels.

  • Excellent computer skills

  • Strong project management, problem-solving, analytical thinking skills

  • Detail oriented yet can see broader picture for department.

  • Ability to meet multiple deadlines, with a high degree of accuracy and efficiency

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong leadership, accountability, interpersonal and organizational skills

  • Proficiency in the use of PowerPoint, Word, Excel

  • Proficiency in the use of literature searching databases

  • Proven ability to assemble evaluated information into an accurate, comprehensive and concise standard medical response document or dossier

  • Proven ability to perform in-depth literature research, analysis and interpretation of medical data; and

  • Knowledge of all legal and regulatory guidelines affecting the dissemination of medical information and product promotion

The annual base salary we reasonably expect to pay is $106,400.00-$154,325.00. Individual pay decisions depend on various factors, such as primary work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. In addition, this position offers an annual bonus with a target of 20% of the earned base salary and eligibility to participate in our equity based long term incentive program. Benefits offered include a retirement savings plan (with company match), paid vacation, holiday and personal days, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits to include medical, prescription drug, dental and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
