As one of our talented District Managers, you will exercise independent judgment while developing strategies to drive your business. You will oversee 10-12 retail outlet stores, have the ability and desire to motivate and inspire your store leadership teams to provide excellence in customer service, achieve optimum financial results, and top-notch operational execution. Additionally, you will provide leadership and direction to each Store Manager and store team to create an environment that ensures continuous training and development, as well as coaching to help them in operating a successful and profitable store.

Target Base Salary Range: $90,000 to $120,000

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Focus on the objective of achieving and exceeding financial sales plans and 4-wall contribution while controlling store and district expenses.
  • Ensure a high sense of urgency is given to meeting and exceeding established sales goals and key performance indicators.
  • Review sales, productivity, and other key statistical reports on a daily/weekly/monthly basis and take aggressive action to capitalize on opportunities.
  • Ensure a consistently positive customer experience through the leadership of store managers that maintain a customer-focused selling culture within the store environment
  • Monitor and approve all hiring plans for your stores and stay within the designated payroll budget while ensuring that stores achieve optimal staffing levels and provide a quality onboarding experience for all employees.
  • Proactively identifies opportunities to improve performance through regular business analysis and feedback from store team members and customers.
  • Conduct regular store visits to ensure compliance and adherence to policies and procedures, standards and practice, and company directives.
  • Ensure the district is maintaining high standards of merchandise placement, store signage, inventory, and proper display techniques to create an inviting place to shop
  • Communicate in a clear, positive, and professional manner designed to educate, inspire, motivate, and direct behavior of all store level employees
  • Interact regularly with all levels of store staff to gain insight on store morale and to gain suggestions from the store level on operational efficiencies and customer experience
  • Ensure compliance with State and Local Laws through (a) Store Management that is trained in established human resources practices. (b) Recruitment, placement, and performance management programs that are administrated with fairness and consistency and are free of unlawful discrimination.
  • Resolve escalated employee relations, performance, and service issues in partnership with the Regional Manager and Human Resources Manager.
  • Ensure a high level of participation at the Store level in Company contests, promotional activities, mall, community events, etc.
  • Validate performance of the district, stores, and individuals by conducting Monthly Business Reviews and establishing clear specific strategies to improve performance.
  • Control Store payroll expenses by complying with budgets.
  • In partnership with the Loss Prevention, take appropriate action to achieve established shortage goals and reduce the shortage.

JOB REQUIREMENTS*

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • 5+ years of multi-store experience in a retail environment, preferably in the watch, jewelry, fashion, accessories, specialty, and luxury retail
  • Demonstrate proven success in meeting sales goals and achieving KPIs.
  • Proven ability to network, recruit, train, develop and foster trust and collaboration
  • Must have strong business acumen by demonstrating the ability to understand and articulate margin development, and budgets and sales forecast
  • Strong sense of integrity and an ability to lead by example.
  • Proven ability to drive, motivate and inspire performance through effective coaching
  • Excellent written and verbal interpersonal communication and relationship management skills
  • Good computer skills using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
  • Must have the ability to work a full-time schedule including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays to meet the demands of the business
  • Ability to travel within a specific geographic area with overnight stays.
