Position Summary

Works under the guidance of the Controller and assists the Controller with directing the organization's financial operations and administration. Assists the Controller in the preparation and review of financial statements, budgets, monthly forecasts, financial planning, and various other financial operating reports. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for fixed asset accounting, lease versus buy, ROI and payback analysis related to capital spending. The Financial Analyst will also be responsible for balance sheet analysis and assisting in Sarbanes Oxley compliance activities. The Financial Analyst will also assist with audit workpaper preparation as needed. Duties entail:

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and analyze current and past financial data and performance to drive improvements.
  2. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting to local, division and corporate management.
  3. Manages operational data and maintains data accuracy and integrity.
  4. Provide financial analysis and reporting on results and trends of operations.
  5. Prepare reports and projections based on analysis.
  6. Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and budgeting.
  7. Works with Controller to manage the preparation of budgets, review budget proposals, and prepare necessary supporting documentation and justification.
  8. Assist with month end closing processes, maintain the general ledger, generate monthly journal entries and reconcile accounts.
  9. Develop a strong understanding of the Financial and ERP systems and the ability to data mine.
  10. Establish and maintain effective communication and coordination with team members, coworkers, production staff and management.
  11. Review and improve daily processes and tasks to expedite and improve workflow.
  12. Perform job functions with minimal supervision.
  13. Provide audit support through the generation of timely, accurate schedules and documents.
  14. Provide support to Finance clerical staff and assist in resolving issues that arise in these areas with minimal supervision
  15. Assist in Sarbanes Oxley compliance activities. Learns SOX Corporate requirements and maintains records to comply with said requirements
  16. Other duties and projects as assigned to meet department/facility goals.

Experience & Education

  • BS. in Business with an emphasis in Finance and/or Accounting with five years of experience in accounting and finance
  • 6 months + years of progressive Financial Analyst experience
  • experience with ERP systems and Excel
  • Accounting experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
  • CPA and/or CMA designation preferred.

  • Ability to identify and research accounting issues independently and communicate conclusions effectively both verbally and in written form.

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $60000 to $88000 US Dollar (USD) Salaried based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 2X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter. Employees will receive 3 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
