Our devoted Pipeline Product Support team is looking for a motivated individual who possesses a strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and is passionate about helping us deliver critical raw materials for the research and manufacture of life-saving therapies for patients in need. As a Manufacturing Associate, you will be responsible for the production of high-quality nucleic acids and other key components that support all stages of our cell and gene therapy development.


Position Summary:

We are looking for a Manufacturing Associate to join our Pipeline Product Support Team at Poseida.

The pipeline product manufacturing associate will be responsible for supporting Poseida's internal manufacturing operations by working as a cleanroom operator and verifier in the aseptic production of several biomolecules including but not limited to plasmid DNA, mRNA, guide RNA, proteins and small biomolecules.


Responsibilities

These may include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform critical aseptic operations in ISO Class 5 and ISO Class 7 environments following paper-based and/or electronic batch records, SOPs, policies, and work instructions to ensure safe and compliant operations
  • Assist in manufacturing batch record review for completeness, clarity, and content. Document any questions or issues for management to include in document revisions
  • Ensure completion of all documents per GDP standards and assists in review of executed documents following production activities
  • Execute release testing and handoff of RUO material
  • Draft and revise SOPs and/or work instructions pertaining to equipment usage and maintenance, buffer formulation, material flow, material testing, gowning, etc.
  • Conduct inventory cycle counts and order consumables based on pre-determined stocking thresholds. Follow Kanban and FIFO stocking of materials
  • Assist in the execution of process improvement and tech transfer experiments. Record data generated in an ELN and work with supervisor to finalize results
  • Lead equipment cleaning and turnover between clinical productions following SOPs. Ensure equipment logs are completed for each cleaning and use
Requirements

Requirements, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or relevant scientific degree with up to two years of relevant experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered)
  • Biotech manufacturing related industry or cGMP experience is preferred
  • DNA isolation and purification, and/or mRNA experience is required
  • Must be able to work in controlled environments requiring special gowning. Will be required to follow gowning requirements and wear protective clothing over the head, face, hands, feet, and body
  • Subject to extended periods of sitting and/or standing in a clean room environment (ISO 7 or ISO 5) and able to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Work may involve repetitive arm/wrist movements
  • Self-motivated, positive, and willing to accept temporary responsibilities outside of initial job description
  • Some overtime work required, on an as-needed basis
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good decision making with strong judgment through collaboration and consideration of others point-of-view


Manufacturing Associate, PPS Pay Rate: $30.77/hour to $35.11/hour

The final pay offered to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to the type and length of experience within the job, type, and length of experience with the industry, education, geographic location, etc.
