Job Description
General Description:
This role will plan and conduct investigations of security incidents, breaches of confidentiality, and other incidents as required, including the gathering and analysis of information from all available sources, utilizing various online platforms and tools, as well as in person and on campus resources, and support other functions as directed.

Essential Duties:
Incident Investigation
Plan and conduct thorough incident investigations, including but not limited to theft, fraud, vandalism, breaches of confidentiality, and other incidents as directed by department and company management
Gather, preserve and analyze evidence, maintaining case management and evidence in accordance with legal requirements
Interview all relevant parties and obtain from them statements and evidence
Collaborate with all internal (HR, Legal, Management, Security) and external (law enforcement, regulatory authorities) stakeholders as necessary
Evaluate and manage risks in investigations and take active steps to mitigate them
Remain flexible and adaptable to evolving situations, making adjustments to investigative strategies based upon constantly emerging information
Compile detailed and complete investigative reports outlining findings and, if appropriate, recommended actions
Data Collection and Analysis
Conduct in-depth online research to uncover relevant data, often involving open sources and public records, evaluating and synthesizing information, identifying patterns, anomalies, and potential risks to Company security
Remain current on evolving online platforms, tools and methodologies to enhance company investigative capabilities
Collaborate with other departments and/or external agencies to enhance information sharing and analysis
Other duties as assigned or required

Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, Visio)
Experience using tools and programs such as Shodan, Tableau, i2 Analyst Notebook, Dataminr, Gephi, or Maltego
Strong visual observation skills for analyzing data, images and videos, and strong analytical skills to process and make sense of vast amounts of information
Precise motor skills for handling digital devices and equipment and conducting field work when required
Exceptional attention to detail to identify subtle patterns and anomalies
Effective problem solving skills to overcome investigative challenges, resiliency to hanling potentially distressing or sensitive information without compromising objectivity, and sound ethical judgment in order to make ethical decisions in complex situations
Commitment to highest ethical standards while gathering and reporting sensitive information

Required Education:
Bachelors in related field such as Criminal Justice or Security Management desired, though will consider other degrees and experience in lieu of this degree
7+ years of related investigative experience, including extensive interview experience
Relevant law enforcement or other professional training certifications such as Certified Protection Professional or Certified Professional Investigator desired

Physical Requirements:
Ability to sit and use computer equipment for extended periods of time during research and analysis tasks
Ability to lift and/or carry 20-30 pounds.

Special Requirements:
U.S. Citizenship required
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance with polygraph required

Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $99,705 - $124,683 + bonus + benefits.
Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
