Yoh is seeking a talented Electrical Engineer to join our autonomous technology client on a contract basis. This is an exciting role propelling the design and development of groundbreaking capabilities within the autonomous aircraft space. The ideal candidate will have 5-8+ years of electrical engineering experience and live within a commutable distance to the office in Petaluma, CA for a hybrid work environment.

Title: Electrical Engineer

Compensation: $65.00-$85.00/hour (depending on experience level)

Job Duties:

* Innovate, refine, and test cutting-edge electronic components and systems for diverse engineering applications.

* Create advanced electronic systems for unmanned aerial vehicles via meticulous component selection, innovative design strategy formulation

* Simulate and design both digital and analog circuits

* Integrate testing procedures to ensure optimal performance

* Craft comprehensive engineering documentation, translating intricate designs into clear and concise engineering drawings and descriptions

* Diagnose and resolve complex hardware and software issues

* Bring conceptual designs to life and test them with precision

* Develop robust solutions supporting sensor integration and embedded processing

* Design and implement cutting-edge circuit boards, from conceptualization and component selection to layout, and documentation

* Contribute to design, analysis, and the creation of fabrication and test procedures

* Tackle diverse engineering challenges using industry best practices and procedures

* Perform additional duties as assigned according to evolving project needs


Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or similar discipline

* 5-8 years of hands-on experience in relevant roles with a track record of excellence

* Proficiency in office software and other computer-based productivity tools

* Proficiency Altium Designer, leveraging it for schematic capture and PCB layout

* Expertise in areas such as Radio Frequency (RF), embedded control, and/or FPGA

* Display strong capability in power electronics, including motors and diverse battery technologies

* Familiarity with industry protocols such as LVDS, I2C, HDMI, UART, SPI, CAN, and USB

* Avid problem solver with enthusiasm for collaboration, actively sharing insights and soliciting feedback

* Strong written and verbal communication skills
