Job Description

Epson, a $10B global leader in high-quality consumer electronics, imaging, and point of sale printing devices, is seeking an exceptional Business Development Manager join our team. Under supervision, you will be responsible for winning, maintaining, and expanding relationships with assigned customers as well as achieving new customer recruitment objectives. The Business Development Manager represents the entire range of Epson print heads, though may focus on a specific solution or product set if focused in a specific vertical market. This position will be based out of our Los Alamitos, CA office with the opportunity for a hybrid work schedule. At Epson, our hybrid schedule is only 6 days per month.

Principal Accountabilities
In addition to the following Epson's policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

Sales Strategy and Performance

Under Supervision:

  • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
  • Coordinates the involvement of company personnel, including support, service, and management resources, in order to meet customer needs
  • Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned customer accounts
  • Proactively leads a joint customer planning process that develops mutual volume objectives/forecasts, and critical milestones associated with new and ongoing projects
  • Proactively assesses, clarifies, and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
  • Manages potential grey market with other Epson sales companies by fostering excellent communication internally and externally, and through strict adherence to global rules of engagement
  • Leads solution development efforts that best address end user needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel

Administrative

  • Develops and provides Sales Operations and Seiko Epson with monthly product forecasts
  • Adheres to all Epson administrative policies and procedures
  • Maintains Salesforce.com account database of contacts and activities
  • Provides monthly pipeline sales forecasts to sales management
  • Operates within budgetary constraints
  • Submits weekly activity/call reports

What You Will Bring

  • 2-5 years of specialist or admin experience
  • Technical expertise in inkjet printing technology
  • Completion of an undergraduate program or equivalent experience (B.A. or B.S.)

The starting annual base pay for this role is between USD $75.635 and $191,003. Please note that this position's salary range may include multiple levels. The actual base is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future.This position will have a 65/35 commission plan.
