The Semel Institute is seeking to hire a full time Spanish Speaking Staff Research Associate 1 to work with the National Neuropsychology Network. In this role you will work under the supervision of investigators who are gathering data from clinics around the country and assembling the data into big databases. This position includes special work with Spanish language assessments so strong communication skills in both Spanish and English are required. The position also demands ability to work with compute software, spreadsheets, and other web applications.

Duties include the following:

  • Responsible for assisting investigators in the implementation of research procedures,
  • including help with online literature searches, creating forms, formatting materials
  • Responsible for assisting clinical staff, including trainees, interface with the research
  • team
  • Data management and project coordination
  • Spanish language proficiency in reading, writing and oral communication required in
  • all of the above tasks
  • Pay Range: $25.75 - $30.71 hourly.

Qualifications

Required:

1) Ability to perform tasks in an efficient, well-organized and timely manner with minimal level of supervision

2) Skill in setting priorities, follow through on assigned tasks and adhering to deadlines

3) Skill in working independently with minimal supervision

4) Ability to communicate clearly in Spanish and English, both verbally and in writing, with staff, researchers, and research subjects at various organizational, cultural and educational levels

5) Demonstrated ability to present research data

6) Experience in research

7) Excellent management skills
