Occupational Health Nurse Practitioner
needed for a part-time
contract
opportunity with Yoh's client located in Sunnyvale, CA!
Top Skills Should You Possess:
- Previous experience in Occupational or Employee Health
- Conduct physical exams for OSHA-mandated programs
- Review and interpret outside results and reports, including history/physical, EKG, labwork, spirometry and audiograms
- Serve as a resource to nurses in First Aid treatment of employee injuries and illnesses including triage and disposition
- Partner with EAP, HR and Management and when required, contact external providers to address health issues and concerns that impact the safety and ability to function for employees in the workplace
- Oversee current medical practices relating to handling of hazardous materials or maintenance of health and safety standards (OSHA Programs)
- Partner with EHS to respond to unexpected exposures/hazards that occur in the workplace and to create preventative measures that ensure the health and safety of employees
- Schedule: 24 hours/week (3 days/week between Monday - Thursday)
- Active and unrestricted California Nurse Practitioner license
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner (NP) program; Masters Degree in Nursing
- Current BLS certification
- Five (5) years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner
- Two (2) years of experience in Occupational or Employee Health preferred
- Previous experience in an Emergency Medicine or Urgent Care setting a plus
- Certified Occupational Health Nurse (COHN / COHN-S) preferred
- Audiometry (CAOHC) and/or Spirometry (NIOSH) certifications preferred
- Able to work independently
- Excellent bedside manner and interpersonal skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office applications strongly preferred
