THE ROLE: Solutions Architect, FinOps Cloud - GCP/Azure/AWS (WEST COAST)

Job Summary:

The Cloud Solutions Architect is a presales and support resource that leads the consultative discovery of the client's business goals, objectives, and challenges, and then translates them into effective cloud solutions with Presidio services. The design of these cloud solutions will rely on a combination of deep consultative selling, partner teaming (internal & external) and an understanding of Presidio's services capabilities in the Cloud resell and managed services.

Under minimal supervision, your primary responsibility as a Cloud Solutions Architect would be to sell and architect market leading public cloud services and solutions. You will be responsible for the leadership and delivery of pre-sales and post-sales activities including proposal development, proof-of-concept construction, demonstrations, roadmaps, and architectural design, and best practices sessions. You will have a clear understanding of various IaaS/PaaS services and reference architecture. You should be able to work at a client's site in collaboration with client team members and be motivated, self-driven, and focused on consulting around cloud-based solutions and services. You should have the ability to calculate the ROI from adopting cloud and articulate this to the client. You will be responsible for the design of services engagements in functional cloud areas such as:

• Financial Cost Optimization
• Infrastructure as a Service
• Platform as a Service
• Hybrid Connectivity
• Security
• DevOps
• High Performance Computing
• Development and test
• Storage, Backup, and Recovery

Key Responsibilities:

• Position yourself as a trusted advisor to Presidio's clients, and partner with them to understand their requirements for cloud implementations.
• Align customer business objectives to Presidio Cloud Managed Services.
• Provide recommendations to clients with respect to cloud migrations, optimizations, and prepare technical implementation roadmaps for cloud adoption.
• Create functional design specifications, reference architectures, and assist with other project deliverables as needed.
• Design state-of-the-art technical solutions on AWS, Google Cloud and/or Azure that address customer's requirements for scalability, reliability, security, and performance.
• Collaborate with other Presidio teams on technical solutions to maintain and improve customer satisfaction and improve Presidio's managed services IP.
• Staying up-to-date on all technical developments related to cloud.
• Interact with Sales, clients, and support teams.
• If required, perform client assessments in support of Cloud design, implementations, and on-going support.
• Technical support on reoccurring customer meetings focused on FinOps optimizations.
• Provide sales consultation on financial cost optimization, fundamental security & isolation methodologies, and features.

Required Skills:

• AWS, GCP and/or Azure networking features & constraints including VPN, Direct Connect, Subnetting, Routing, etc.
• Experience with AWS, GCP and/or Azure storage approaches.
• Proven design, planning and implementation experience with AWS, GCP and/or Azure.
• Moderate Network, firewall configuration and router troubleshooting experience.
• Working knowledge of most relevant operating systems (Windows Server, RHEL, Ubuntu, etc.).
• Core understanding of cloud compute and storage technology fundamentals
• Prior experience working for a system integrator or consulting organization is preferred.

Additional Desired Skills:

• Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations.
• Current AWS, Azure and/or GCP Solutions Architect Associate or equivalent
• Current AWS, Azure and/or GCP Solutions Architect and/or DevOps Professional a plus!

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar relevant field
• A minimum of 3+ years of experience in a Solution Architect Engineer Position
