| Duties: |
Provide technical support and task leadership for the Acquisition and Risk Management Office (formerly the Risk Planning and Assessment Office) in the Risk Assessment and Management Subdivision. Staff members in this Office assist SPOs and other Aerospace customers in establishing risk management and assessment processes in conformance with DoD and SMC/NRO guidance; archive and maintain approved government and commercial specifications and standards and guides; compile baseline and headlight metrics; participate in the development of acquisition metrics tracking systems and risk management processes; assist in risk benchmarking and related analysis activities in support of acquisition planning and program execution for Aerospace's SMC, NRO and NASA customers; and provide acquisition planning and risk assessment/management support in multidiscipline systems engineering teams. | Qualifications: |
Advanced degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physical Sciences or Business with a minimum of 6 years of applicable experience in the areas of acquisition, aerospace systems engineering and risk analysis disciplines as desired. Prior program office experience is very desirable. The candidate must have demonstrated the ability to work with diverse systems engineering teams, including responsiveness to budgetary and schedule constraints. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills, especially demonstrated oral and written communication skills. |
