Position Description

Job Title: GEOLOCATION ENGINEER

Duties: Perform a variety of assignments related to the accuracy of position and velocity determination, and trajectory analysis. Typical assignments include performance analyses of satellite navigation systems and their users. Characterize and process radio frequency signals collected by space systems. Employ a wide range of mathematical and statistical techniques and theories to analyze multiple signal sources, associate signals from a single source collected by more than one receiver, and geolocate the source. Evaluate space system performance, develop new algorithms, and test prototypes in advanced development scenarios. Participate in the end-to-end mission data processing development cycle.
Qualifications: Advanced degree in mathematical, engineering, or physical science. Software development skills (Fortran, C, or C++) required. Experience and proficiency with space systems data collection techniques and processes desired. Prefer experience in signal processing and UNIX computer systems, and familiarity with the Interactive Data Language. Competence in oral and written communication is necessary. Interpersonal skills and attitudes needed to work in cooperative technical effort are essential. The ability to work independently is also required. Practical SIGINT expertise, preferred. Current SBI desired.
