| Duties: | Coordinate, manage and execute engineering support activities to NASA small space science and planetary missions in conceptualization and development at NASA Ames Research Center (ARC). Work as part of an Aerospace Corporation engineering team imbedded with the ARC Small Spacecraft Development Office in the areas of spacecraft systems, subsystems, and mission design and analysis. Duties also include working on mission proposals for NASA Earth and Space Science Missions, and supporting the implementation of missions in development and being readied for launch. Candidates will be responsible for working directly with NASA project engineers at ARC as part of a joint ARC/Aerospace Corporation team. Permanent relocation to the customer location is required. |
| Qualifications: | Bachelors Degree in Engineering, Physics, or Applied Mathematics is required. Eight years experience in performing spacecraft system analysis, concept development, requirements analysis, systems engineering, and/or mission assurance is highly desired. At least some experience with standard engineering design and analysis tools, such as Solid Works, Pro E, NASTRAN, Abaqus, Satellite Tool Kit, etc. is highly desired. Must be able to work both independently, and as part of a team in a multidisciplinary environment to develop concepts, and implement solutions. Excellent writing and presentation skills are required. |
