Department
Comcast Sports Group operates 10 sports networks that cover more than
2400 live sporting events annually and deliver comprehensive sports news
and analysis to nearly 40 million cable and satellite homes. Comcast
Sports Group's networks are: Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, Comcast
SportsNet Chicago, Comcast SportsNet Mid-Atlantic, Comcast SportsNet New
England, Comcast SportsNet Northwest, Comcast SportsNet Philadelphia,
Comcast SportsNet West, SNY, The Mtn.- MountainWest Sports Network, and
CSS. These networks provide live game coverage of 18 professional teams

Tasks
Plan and execute the daily operation of all video servers
Coordinate and record scheduled broadband video/audio feeds from multiple sources
Purge expired media
Develop and implement an archive process
Liaison for CSN Bay Area to vendor technical support and host facility
Perform basic non-linear editing as required
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance


Requirements
Previous Television Broadcast Experience
Experience with the operation and maintenance of Windows based servers
Strong Information Technology background with an emphasis in TV broadcasting
Avid I-News experience
Ability to manage several projects simultaneously
Strong oral and written communication skills
Excellent time-management and organizational skills
Strong Information Technology background with an emphasis in TV broadcasting
Experience with the operation and maintenance of Windows based servers
Avid I-News experience
Knowledge of video compression and multiple file types used in non-linear post production
Network architecture and design experience for video file transfer protocol
Strong work ethic, positive attitude and leadership qualities with the ability to handle multiple tasks and set priorities a must
Ability to work non-traditional hours, weekends & holidays
Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment
