McKissack & McKissack, specializing in architecture & interiors, program & construction management, planning & facilities management, environmental engineering and transportation, has an immediate opening for an Estimator in our Los Angeles office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual, interested in personal growth, who wants to be a member of our growing team and who meets the following qualifications:

Duties and Responsibilities
? Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Architecture.
? Minimum of 8 years experience in the building design and construction industry or 15 years experience without a Degree.
? LEED accreditation is a definite plus.
? Experience with K-12 or higher education facilities.
? Hands on experience with estimating software.
? Excellent negotiating skills.
? Experience with MS Project, Excel and Word.
? Ability to analyze cost information and earned value.
? Ability to quickly master new software systems, especially in the area of project estimating.
? Demonstrated ability to interact in a cooperative and effective manner with the owner, contractors and staff.
? Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
? Strong computer skills, including experience in spreadsheets and project schedules.
? Strong estimating and scheduling skills.
? Strong interpersonal skills.
