Position Description



We currently have an excellent growth opportunity for a Senior Manager in our SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting group who will be responsible for a wide variety of external reporting responsibilities, technical accounting issues, and special projects. The position reports into the Director - SEC Reporting, Technical Accounting & SOX Compliance.

The Senior Manager has the following responsibilities and skills:

External Reporting
  • Use of excellent communication skills to coordinate with the global finance organization, legal, investor relations, and others to draft and review all SEC filings
  • Ensure the accurate, timely and complete submission of all SEC filings including those on Form 10-Q, 10-K, Proxy, 8-K, and various '33 Act filings
  • Manage the relationship with the external auditors
  • SOX lead for the External Reporting function
  • Use leadership and depth of experience to continually develop staff
Technical Accounting
  • Support the global finance organization and management by providing well thought out technical accounting guidance based on their business needs.
  • Perform accounting research of technical accounting issues related to revenue, inventory, financial instruments, equity investments, compensation, leases, etc.
  • Provide technical accounting expertise while advising the organization on its significant business issues and transactions such as purchase accounting, derivatives, leases and restructuring
  • Develop and provide training to domestic and international locations on technical accounting issues
  • Prepare presentations for the audit committee on important accounting issues and trends
  • Monitor new accounting standards, assess their impact on the organization and create working solutions
  • Develop roadmap and prepare company for convergence with IFRS


Qualifications

  • BS degree in Accounting or Finance (or equivalent) required
  • CPA required
  • 8 years of relevant experience, with preferably a combination of Big 4 and large public companies including the proven ability to manage large projects, manage the SEC reporting function and extensive technical accounting experience.
  • Experience with IFRS a strong plus
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to meet project deliverables
  • An ability to work well within a team structure and effect change cross functionally
  • Exceptional writing, communication, interpersonal & presentation skills
  • Excellent organizational, management, analytical, decision-making & research skills
  • An ability to influence, train, mentor and leverage the skills of others to achieve objectives
