Job Duties and Responsibilities
The Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer work logistics engineering for the Launch & Test Range System (LTRS) ILS program at the Space and Missiles System Center (SMC), Los Angeles Air Force Base, CA. The engineer will work on the analysis of LTRS prime development contractor(s) in ILS elements (e.g. Supply Support, Technical Documentation, Maintenance Planning, and Design Interface). The engineer must also lead the analysis of Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS).


Specific responsibilities include:


1) Regular reporting to the ILS Manager and Air Force management.

2) Interfacing with multiple government and contractor entities in geographically separated locations.

3) Member of engineering team for Systems Engineering and Integration contract

Qualifications
a) Requires Bachelor’s degree (engineering) or equivalent.

b) Five to seven years of Integrated Logistics Support experience.

c) Proficient in DoD acquisition processes and contracting.

d) Experience interfacing with senior DoD management, customs, and courtesies.

f) Excellent oral and written presentation skills.

g) Experienced in applying ILS processes to space programs.
