POSITION REQUIREMENTS

This position requires certification by the California State Department of Health Services as a Radiologic Technologist along with completion of a program offered by an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology, and possession of a current certificate from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. A minimum of 5 years of progressive supervisory/management experience in an acute care/hospital setting is required. A BA/BS degree in Business, Health Science or a related field is required, a Masters is preferred. The incumbent's primary responsibilities involve managing the overall activities of the department; implementing a plan for financial resources which will meet budget targets and revenue projections; developing staffing to provide competent, efficient, and professional healthcare services; and making certain that departmental and hospital policies and procedures are in compliance with regulatory requirements. This position is accountable for ensuring high quality patient care through cost effective and efficient management of the Imaging Services Department and Transportation Department including Diagnostic Radiology, CT Scanning, Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, and facility Patient Transportation in a manner which is consistent with the Mission and Philosophy of the Sisters of Mercy. Ensures that all actions taken and methods to produce the results outlined incorporate and promote the CHW mission, vision, values, and values-based service standards.
