The Instrument Technicians provide for proper cleaning, sterilization and assembly of surgical instruments, trays and supplies meeting current standards. Checks for proper functioning of instruments prior to sterilization. Monitors sterile instruments/supplies and checks for out-dates of same. Demonstrates proper use of equipment (Sonic, Washer). Completes inventory sheets for specialty trays accurately

Requirements

Certification Central Processing required or preferred. Working knowledge on instrument processing and aseptic technique. Working knowledge of steam sterilization and cleaning procedures. Working knowledge of surgical instruments and supplies. One year experience in Central Processing with emphasis on instrumentation preferred. High School education or equivalent preferred. City of Los Angeles Fire and Safety Card (within 30-days of hire).
