JOB TITLE: SPEECH PATHOLOGIST
SITES: San Francisco Bay Area - Fairfield, CA

QUALIFICATIONS: Approved CDE license/credential in Speech and Language Current Clinical Rehab Services Credential Masters Degree in Communication Disorders or the equivalent
Two years classroom experience working with individuals with severe disabilities and three years experience with persons
with challenging behaviors in a Behavioral Training program.
Experience with low and high AAC
Experience with data guided therapy in a collaborative service
delivery model
JOB DESCRIPTION: Direct speech and language services provided in the form of
collaborative consultation. Observe and train staff to implement speech and language goals across the day. Meet with instructional staff for the purpose of planning, evaluating or problem solving elements of direct language services. Prepare material specifically designed for the benefit of individual students. Participate in IEP meetings as requested. IEP and instructional planning. Participate in meetings with classroom staff (clinical, DAS), program administrators, or other colleagues as needed. Participate in other scheduled school meetings and/or inservice training as requested by supervisor.
Prepare and deliver specific inservice training to program staff. Communicate with parents and care providers to promote generalization of communication skills to the home environment. Complete necessary documents to document service provided (Speech and Language Service Report, or other documentation which may be requested by individual districts.)
