Position Description

POSITION: OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST


JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Occupational Therapist is chief administrator of occupational therapy services as indicated on individual students’ IEPs, including assessments and direct therapy. The Occupational Therapist is the primary developer and deliverer of assistive technology and positioning equipment, and interventions. The Occupational Therapist is the primary trainer to classroom staff in how to implement occupational therapy interventions.

REQUIREMENTS:
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy, Master's degree preferred
• National certification in Occupational Therapy
• Experience working with individuals with severe disabilities and challenging behaviors
• Experience with data guided instruction in a collaborative service delivery model
• Familiarity with assistive technology and positioning equipment
• Knowledge of child development
• CPR certification preferred
