The Director of Nursing is a leadership role with the overall responsibility for assigned patient care operations for Mercy Hospital and other related entities, under the direction of the Senior Director of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer.
Progressive nursing leadership for a minumum of 5 years with at least 3 years in a Nurse Manager position is needed.
This position also requires a Bachelor of Nursing Degree. The incumbent should have the ability to quickly be knowledgeable of legal, regulatory, ethical, managerial and organizational requirements and the principles and standards for an acute care general hospital in the State of California. Must be able to guide and direct hospital operations to ensure they are functioning in accordance with their respective missions and in the most economic manner feasible. Should have Effective verbal communications in large groups. REGISTERED NURSE (RN). Current California Nursing License. CNOR is preferred. * ~CB~
