Position Description

EVENT PROGRAM MANAGER
The Event Program Manager has responsibility to hire and supervise all market level ER positions. Works to focus Event Program labor resources on cost-effectively growing contract activations for T-Mobile and it National Retail partners.

POSITION BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES:
Hire and manage the performance of all ER positions for the local market as needed. Recruit high quality candidates. Manage market's Event Program sales performance to achieve sales objectives. Manage all aspects of Event Program labor (time-in/time-out, sales and hours reporting, direct in-store ER efforts, complete weekly and monthly scheduling of all Event Program labor). Train and coach Event Representatives to sell/demonstrate T-Mobile products and services to potential customers. Responsible for distribution, tracking and retention of all Event Program resources. Manage all aspect of employee performance to include 1:1 coaching, performance management and employee satisfaction. Identify opportunities for outside events with high traffic to drive T-Mobile awareness and activations. The scope of this position includes establishing and managing the critical relationships with National Retail Partners. Daily, weekly and monthly evaluation of Program staff performance. On-going evaluation and analysis of scheduled events and in-store labor support strategies (collaborate with DM, MD) to ensure sales targets are met or exceeded. Distribution strategies of event resources (how and when to release resources during the month to maximize sales outcomes). Lead candidate selection/hiring. On-going discretion of time management and activities necessary to effectively deliver results. Regularly directs the work of two or more full time employees or the FTE equivalent. Interviewing, selecting, and training employees. Adjust pay rates, work schedules, and approving leaves. Conducting performance review. Planning and controlling budget expenditures. Exercise authority to suspend, discipline, and terminate employees. Is accountable for the work or a recognized organizational unit. Appraises employees to determine eligibility for promotion or other status changes. Determining and securing the resources and materials needed to perform the work of the unit.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Proficient in primary Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point)
Strong presentation skills / public speaking
Can understand technical aspects wireless services and train on them
Understanding of how to create and foster a good team dynamic
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Understanding of varying communication styles
Clear understanding of TMO Product and Services
Operationally and administratively experienced (attention to detail)
Effective time management skills
Proven effective sales management skills in meeting or exceeding desired results
Ability to recruit and hire high quality talent
Successful history of performance management of sales teams
Previous retail management experience
Previous sales experience
Past wireless experience is a plus
Bachelor degree of equivalent work experience
Can lift and set up event related displays and materials weighing up to 45 Lbs
