Our Clinical Network Services Department is looking for a decisive, energetic Network Manager to join the California team located in our San Francisco, California office. This a fast-paced position provides exciting opportunities for professional growth with a Fortune 100 Company as well as the opportunity to work with talented team of professionals. The hired individual will recruit new providers and maintain the current provider network. He/she will also look for areas to improve the processes and direct quality assurance initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
  • Managing a network of behavioral health physicians, clinicians and facilities/programs.
  • Identifying network gaps and recruiting physicians, clinicians and facilities/programs to meet these needs.
  • Acting as liaison between providers and UBH to resolve problems that arise
  • Consistently identifying areas for process improvement and participating in these initiatives
  • Participating in quality assurance initiatives
  • Interaction and collaboration with care advocacy centers
  • Interactions with sales/marketing organization
  • Managing multiple projects/priorities with short deadlines
  • Local travel to meet with large key provider groups/facilities
Positions in this function are accountable for the full range of provider relations and service interactions within UHG, including working on end-to-end provider claim and call quality, ease of use of physician portal and future service enhancements, and training & development of external provider education programs. Designs and implements programs to build and nurture positive relationships between the health plan, providers (physician, hospital, ancillary, etc.), and practice managers. Directs and implements strategies relating to the development and management of a provider network. Identifies gaps in network composition and services to assist the network contracting and development staff in prioritizing contracting needs. May also be involved in identifying and remediating operational short-falls and researching and remediating claims.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience and ability in developing provider or facility networks
  • Experience within the Behavior Health space desirable
  • Previous experience with providers and facilities as a practitioner, provider, case manager helpful
  • MA/MS degree in business, healthcare administration or related field or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years experience in physician and provider relations preferred
  • PC literacy with proficiency in use of computer spreadsheets and data bases
  • Willingness to engage in business travel
  • Strong strategic and business acumen; well grounded in health care delivery systems
  • Demonstrates capability to get results in a complex, sometimes ambiguous environment
  • Capable of managing a variety of complex issues while driving momentum of key projects
  • Ability to build strong relationships within and outside of UBH
  • Demonstrates expert negotiation skills
  • Excellent problem solving&analytic skills
