School Innovations & Advocacy is a growing full service firm with expertise in categorical programs, attendance, special education, mandates and advocacy. With the success of school districts in mind, we deliver solutions for all aspects of school operations that ensure compliance with state requirements and customized consulting for cost-effective programs. With over 140 employees in six offices throughout California and Idaho, SI&A offers both district and school site level consulting. Our goal is to always be "ahead of the curve" in anticipating the upcoming challenges that will be faced by school districts.
SI&A is looking for a Service Consultant to serve as an Account Manager in a team environment in our Pasadena Office who is committed to Collection, Claim Performance, Client Retention and Compliance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop an intimate understanding of client’s district culture by employing a wide variety of research methods, including, but not limited to, analyzing in-house data and conducting on-site interviews.
• Manage and service clients with any product related problems or questions including assisting and training clients on contracted services after sell.
• Generate qualified leads from specified territories to new and existing school district clients.
• Advise and assist clients in developing and/or presenting board presentations to key decision-making personnel on SI&A products and services that would best fit district needs.
• Negotiate and renew contracts with districts that reflect a wide variety of products and service.
• Establish and maintain client relationships with school district personnel, ranging from superintendents to site secretaries.
• Analyze and process existing client documentation, conduct interviews to determine key issues, and identify current problems the district is facing.
• Assess client needs by researching district, county, state and nationwide trends in education.
• Document existing district policy and procedures in areas such as: curriculum instruction, special education instruction, collective bargaining and compliance with Federal and State programs
• Present an executive summary based on documentation received from clients throughout the school year and offer recommendations to improve compliance and revenue of client data.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree OR equivalent work experience and previous professional background in consulting, sales or account management and maintenance.
• Excellent written, verbal, communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision as well as a collaborative team member within company departments.
• Polished and professional speaking and presenting skills for a wide variety of audiences.
• Willingness to adapt to changes necessary for a high-growth leading-edge company and ability to follow-through on tasks.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks under pressures of deadlines and budgets.
• Ability to manage and maintain accounts to include contract negotiation and contract renewals.
• Willingness to travel frequently and overnight with own transportation to various parts of Southern California. All travel expenses are reimbursed including mileage rate of .38 cents per mile.
Salary:
$40,000.00 - 55,000.00 USD /year
