Position Description

Department: Nutrition/ Food Services Department
Schedule: per-diem
Shift: variable
Hours: 0600-2100
Job Details: - FIRE/SAFETY CARD (must be presented within 30 days from DOH)
- 1-3 years of experience

Position Summary

To provide food service to cafeteria customers and catering events. Assembles food in preparation for meal service. Maintains food and service counter in an attractive manner. Obtains supplies from storage areas for service, and puts away unused items in appropriate storage area, making certain that all items are properly covered, labeled, dated and stored. When assigned to patient food service, delivers early/late trays to patients.

Requirements

Must be able to read, write and speak English to understand simple written and/or verbal instructions, and to communicate with others. Hospital food service experience is desirable. LA City Fire Card within 30 days of hire
