Position Description

Trainer, Field - RPS


POSITION BACKGR0UND & OBJECTIVES:


The Field Training Representative (FTR) will drive sales productivity and customer satisfaction within the T-Mobile Retail Partners Sales (RPS) channel through in-store training. The FTR will provide effective training to ensure that T-Mobile retailers are trusted wireless experts of all T-Mobile products and services to meet or exceed key performance indicators utilizing the EARN training model. This position will play a critical role in building brand preference through relationships with store managers and staff, and enforcement of T-Mobile merchandising standards. This position plays an active role in ensuring the Best Place to Perform. This position requires a Tuesday Saturday schedule!


Primary Duties & Responsibilities -

1. Provide ongoing T-Mobile product and service, and customer service training at Retail Partner Sales locations. Create tools or training solutions to address and bridge gaps in knowledge, competency and skills, as well as implementing formal T-Mobile training programs. Coach for content and skill improvement at the front line manager and representative level. Use positive reinforcement and adult learning techniques to promote learning and skill improvement. Engage in side-by-side selling.

2. Grow sales performance and other key metrics. Coach store managers in their development of monthly detailed business plans for each assigned location. Manage and track progress against plan, communicating progress and opportunities with store managers and T-Mobile leadership. Conduct side-by-side selling.

3. Develop and manage positive business relationships with assigned locations. Meet regularly with store management (including site visits with frontline employees), serving as a point-of-contact for business consultation, and point of escalation for questions or issues including individual customer issues.

4. Partner with T-Mobile managers (RAMs, etc.) and store managers to ensure correct product mix and quantities. Ensure proper merchandising at locations, including product placement, maintenance, and brand compliance.

5. Participate in weekly sales meeting providing competitive updates, sales and metric performance, and weekly achievements. Participate in and complete required Sales training.


Discretion & Independent Judgment


1) Manage the training for the staff of each location. Responsible for the development of sales and product experts at each location. Create tools or training solutions to address and bridge gaps in knowledge, competency and skills, as well as implementing formal T-Mobile training programs. Coach for content and skill improvement at the front line manager and representative level. Use positive reinforcement and adult learning techniques to promote learning and skill improvement. Work with Store Manages and Regional Account Managers, where necessary to implement training solutions.

2) Coach and mentor store management in the development of action plans to grow sales, reduce churn, improve customer experience, and improve T-Mobile Brand awareness.

3) Provide primary and immediate resolution to Retail Partners issues as well as customer service concerns.

4) Manage weekly and daily schedule. Prioritize activities and store visits to maximize sales productivity.


Functional / Technical Skills

1) MS Office experience required.
2) Strong Organizational skills.
3) Excellent presentation, oral and written communication skills.
4) Highly adaptive to fast paced and constantly changing work environment.


Education & Experience


1) A college degree or equivalent experience required.
2) Minimum of 1-2 years of training or sales training experience required.
3) Wireless experiences a plus !!
4) Valid drivers license, good driving record and proof of insurance required.


Environmental / Physical Demands


1) Must be able to lift at least 40 LBS.
2) Car and air travel required.
3) Business casual work environment.
4) MUST be able to work a Tuesday Saturday schedule supporting retail business hours.
