| Duties: |
Responsible for the independent analysis and assessment of contractor-produced digital system developments, at the board/car/module, slice, unit, subsystem and system hardware architecture. Activities include the support all aspects of digital design, requirements flow, Worst Case Analyses, and test. Successful candidate will support program offices in cooperation with other MTS in the department and in allied organizations within the engineering group and other customers with evaluations of the appropriateness of contractor digital design, test methods/plans and parts selections. The successful candidate is expected to lead design and analysis teams comprised of talent located throughout the engineering group utilizing all computer-aided engineering tools and hardware test and analysis facilities. These activities focus on a variety of integrated circuit and system-level problems, and the interpretation and evaluation of the results are in support of Space Program Operations and National Systems Group Programs as well as Civil and Commercial customers. Emphasis of this position will be on the circuit-level implementation of system requirements. Engineering disciplines will include: digital architecture, circuit design and analysis; logic design and analysis; and fault coverage and testability assessment. |
| Qualifications: |
BS, MS, PhD or equivalent in EE, Computer Science or related field of Digital Architecture, Digital Design; Worst Case Analyses; Trouble-shooting; and testing at the Board, slice, module, Unit, Subsystem and System level is strongly desired. The candidate must have an excellent personal technical reputation and demonstrated achievement in the acquisition and deployment of high performance digital electronic systems for space. Knowledge of the space microelectronics industry with emphasis on the insertion of advanced technologies into satellite systems is required. Familiarity with the details of digital design, verification, and test, as well as insertion of advanced Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) technologies is highly desired. Familiarity with space system architectures, system integration, launch operations, and ground processing systems is desirable. A reputation of high regard in the external technical community is needed. Must have good communication and interaction skills and the ability to effectively interface with program offices, contractors, and customer personnel, and lead integrated product teams including contractor and customer personnel. Minimum of eight years of experience is required. Ability to obtain SSBI clearance is strongly desired. |
