Summary

This position prepares carts for surgical procedures. Wraps instruments, trays and other items using techniques in department policy and procedure. Cleans equipment using proper disinfecting techniques and prepares for next patient use. Decontaminates instrument trays and prepares them for wrapping and sterilization. Makes rounds to gather equipment and trays from dirty utility rooms.

Requirements

Minimum of two years experience in Central Processing. CRSCT certification preferred. Knowledge of Healthcare equipment and surgical instruments. Los Angeles Fire Card within 30 days of hire. High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
