Position Description

Senior Behavior Analyst


QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Master's Degree in Education, Psychology (Behavior Analysis emphasis preferred), or Social Work.
2. Experience training Applied Behavior Analysis in an educational setting with an SH population.
3. Experience training empirical classroom management systems and data guided teaching.
4. Experience providing behavioral consultation and training to programs serving individuals with developmental disabilities and behavior problems.
5. Effective communication skills (oral and written).
6. Ability to work independently and manage flex time efficiently.
7. Demonstrated ability to deal with public effectively presenting Agency in a positive manner.
8. Ability to work as a team member.
9. Computer expertise in Microsoft Word and Excel, databases and spreadsheets.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

Train and mentor Educational Coordinators for Spectrum Center schools in Applied Behavioral Analysis, functional assessments, empirical classroom management, and data guided teaching.
1. Provides training and support to Education Coordinators and Teachers in the development of Functional Analysis Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
2. Provides ongoing monitoring of the quality of student academic and behavioral services
3. Provides support to Education Coordinators in effective teaching practices so that students are able to progress in accordance with the IEP
4. Assesses the school staff development needs, researches, and designs training programs based on those needs
5. Participates in on-going staff development through conferences, trainings, and seminars to maintain and develop core competencies
6. Trains and certifies staff in the implementation of Pro-ACT principles while also providing ongoing coaching and support in the use of Pro-ACT principles
7. Assists in the hiring, orientation, and training of Education Coordinators
8. Researches and makes recommendations for the use of evidence-based curricula in the classrooms that meet the requirements set forth by the Department of Education
9. Provides input and problem solve challenging student behavioral and academic needs . Develops and monitors systems designed to meet the needs of individual students, classrooms, and the site as a whole
