Specific Responsibilities: Reporting to the Manager of Site Services, this position will help manage vendor services for Gilead.
Essential Duties and Job Functions: * Manage vendor services. I.e. Café services, Janitorial services, Shipping and Receiving, but not limited to these services.
* Monitor performance to the agreed upon Service Levels
* Managing vendors to the responsibilities outlined in the contract and statement of work, and authoring contract documents, including service level exhibits, statements of work, and examples.
* Work closely with vendors to support the growth of services to provide the infrastructure that will take the company to the next level
* Develop metrics to manage vendor performance and design and measure key performance indicators
* Drive process improvements, optimize vendor relationships, and reduce total costs
* Responsible for relationship management with all vendors
* Manage the development of RFP / RFQ, evaluate vendor responses and qualify and recommend finalist vendors
* Negotiate, maintain and monitor contracts and contractual relationships and ensure compliance with service level agreements and other business terms and conditions
* Perform comprehensive and objective analysis
* Possess excellent problem solving skills and be able to communicate with all levels of management, staff and external contacts and organizations
* Assist with management of Site Services operations.
* Performs other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Experience and Skills: * Minimum of five (5) years Vendor Management and Contract Administration experience in Facilities and/or Site Services department
BS degree in business or related field experience
* At least 5 years of professional experience facilities or business operations role.
* Experience in managing vendor relationships
* Excellent relationship building and alignment building skills
* Demonstrated ability to think globally and strategically, influencing change across a complex organization
* Proven negotiation and influencing skills
* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy to understand business terms.
* Excellent analytical skills and very detail oriented.
* Able to work effectively with many deadlines.
* Handle multiple priorities under tight timelines
* Strong problem solving abilities (proactive identification and resolution)
* Bilingual skills, English and Spanish, a plus
