Position Summary
This position will support the Teleport Engineering group at our Riverside Teleport in the execution of engineering, operations, and maintenance. Will be responsible for ensuring the specifications, implementation, performance, & maintenance of Intelsat Teleport communication equipment, services, and infrastructure deliver the highest standard of service possible to our customers and users. Will provide project supervision and guidelines for new service activation, project engineering implementation, and maintenance activities. Will support improvement processes across all areas and work during shift hours when special skills are required.

Minimum Requirements
**THIS POSITION REQUIRES ITAR ACCESS - Applicant must be a U.S. citizen or U.S. permanent resident**
1. Bachelors degree or significant related work experience required.
2. Posses strong knowledge of earth station systems with demonstrated abilities to maintain antenna systems and controls, RF systems equipment such as converters, fiber optic, LNA/LNB, high power amplifiers and possess basic understanding of facility plant subsystems including high power switch gear, UPS's and power distribution units.
3. General understanding of data communications.
4. Demonstrated abilities with the use of spectrum analyzers, swept frequency synthesizers, power meters, Bit Error Testers and related industry standard test equipment that supports Teleport Operations.
5. Provide theoretical and practical training to teleport staff in operational procedures and the repair and maintenance of the station equipment.
6. Monitor performance of the satellite & terrestrial communications equipment and the associated infrastructure systems to ensure their maximum availability for all operational requirements.
7. Demonstrate good technical and operational understanding with two or more of the following technical disciplines: RF technology, Telecom, TT&C, Video, IP/Broadband services, IT Networking (LAN/WAN/Desktop/Monitor & Control) and Facility infrastructure.
8. Ensure correct implementation and performance of hardware and software modifications on teleport equipment as required.
9. Provide engineering support and assistance for: service activation, maintenance, repair and operation of station equipment to ensure its maximum availability for operational requirements.
10. Assist with the performance of activation and delivery of services to Intelsat customers as per established service level agreements.
11. Ensure that all station services are performed in compliance with local health and safety, and regulatory laws.
12. Fluent in English - verbal and written

Preferred Qualifications
1. Strong knowledge of radio frequency systems and high power amplifiers.
2. Personal computer literate and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
