| Duties: |
Support the Space Systems Group (SSG) in a broad range of activities in implementing the integrated Mission Assurance Tool (iMAT) and associated Standard Template. Track and assess all the technical and programmatic activities and events that need to be accomplished in order to make ready-to-launch recommendations for its programs. Work closely with the government customer’s Independent Readiness Review Team to ensure all Space Flight Worthiness Criteria have been met for each mission. Duties will include working closely with the SSG technical staff and management to understand SSG missions, become familiar with the responsibilities of the associated joint Government-Contractor-Aerospace Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and ensure that their mission assurance task lists and associated risks are complete and accurate. Creating and deploying the teams’ data repositories and managing linkage of all artifacts and documents substantiating mission assurance decisions will be a major focus. This data repository will integrate with the corporate command media. The position will require excellent working knowledge of Aerolink, as well as government networks, and the properties and methodologies for characterizing and relating meta-data. This position represents a unique circumstance that combines high-value technical, programmatic, data management and mission success opportunities. |
| Qualifications: |
Minimum of eight years experience. Bachelor’s Degree in technical field required and advanced degree preferred. However, applicants with an equivalent combination of relevant training and experience are encouraged to apply. Previous Program Office experience a plus, especially if it involved performing in an Integrated Product Team environment. Ability to work as effective team member as well as an independent contributor is required. Strong background in all aspects of networking capabilities, file management systems, technical data repositories, Web applications and corporate computing resources is a must. Basic understanding of space systems is required. Initiative, dependability, attention to detail and demonstrated ability to perform in a fast-paced environment with minimum supervision essential. Secret clearance required; current SSBI or ability to obtain SSBI is desired. |
