HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE

Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, this position is responsible for acquiring new staff to share in our passion for health equity, social justice and learning. This position is responsible for recruiting, elevating ETR’s presence, and the on-boarding of new employees using HR best practices. The position also identifies, recommends and implements process improvement initiatives and provides support to the HR Director on special projects. All responsibilities are carried out in a manner consistent with ETR’s mission, vision, values and cultural norms. Must maintain confidentiality and use discretion in all interactions. Position located in Oakland, CA.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BE SUCCESSFUL

  • BA/BS degree or specialized training plus three to five years’ experience in recruitment.
  • Demonstrated experience with on-boarding and facilitating HR orientations.
  • A tech-forward approach to operations and problem solving with the ability to easily assess and acquire new technology skills and effectively integrate them with existing and new processes.
  • Highly proficient in Office 365 Suite (Teams, Planner, Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), ATS, HRIS and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • High level of skill, sensitivity and empathy concerning matters of diversity, inclusivity and equity.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and quantitative skills combined with attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to complete assignments timely and independently.
  • Demonstrates initiative and stays current in the field.
  • Ability to identify and implement process improvement initiatives to ensure optimum delivery of services and support.
  • Ability to prioritize, multi-task and remain flexible.
  • Ability to meet short deadlines; willingness to work additional hours during peak and deadline periods.  
  • Highly professional and developed people skills; ability to work with diverse groups of people.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and use discretion in all interactions.
  • Ability to travel in northern CA to co-located offices and job fairs.
  • Valid driver’s license, acceptable DMV record and proof of insurance required.
