Job Description
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with a focus on business, statistics/mathematics or information technology
  • 2-3 years in a consulting/analytics position in either a startup environment (big data, BI, etc.) or consulting company are ideal
  • Entrepreneurial mindset and the willingness to work in a fast-changing environment, with a passionate team of colleagues
  • Background in, or strong interest in Marketing & Sales, willingness to specialize in the area and bring related expertise to McKinsey teams and clients
  • Excellent business acumen
  • Good technical background, including knowledge of XML, SQL, SSIS or other ETL tools
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Confidence and ability to work with senior firm stakeholders
  • Sound problem-solving with ability to quickly process complex information and present it clearly and simply
  • Excel and PowerPoint skills are required; Alteryx and Tableau skills are desired
  • Curious and committed to personal development

You'll work with our Periscope Sales Solutions team in North America. Periscope is part of our Marketing and Sales practice.

The Marketing & Sales practice strives to help clients in both consumer and business-to-business environments on a wide variety of marketing and sales topics. What You'll Do

You will work with our Sales Solutions team to deploy software-based solutions to help companies achieve above-market growth by identifying, enabling, and sustaining best-practice commercial operations.

In this role you will leverage Periscope and other firm assets to serve clients and create sustainable impact. You will often work on more than one engagement at a time and will be at the core of bridging client business challenges with Periscope's capabilities, including optimizing their planning, coverage strategy, go-to-market model, front-line talent, and commercial capabilities.

You will work with client representatives and McKinsey consultants in joint problem-solving sessions and will drive the process of translating data, benchmarks and analytics into value added insights and recommendations to help clients achieve breakthrough sales productivity.

You will be fully responsible to deliver our diagnostic solutions in close collaboration with both McKinsey consultants and clients. You will ensure effective and impactful diagnostic projects and scope. You will set up, run, and analyze the findings of our diagnostics. Our McKinsey consultants will look to you for guidance on setting the marketing & sales agenda for their clients and will see you as a thought partner in client development and client service strategies.

You will also be an entrepreneurial leader in our diagnostic team, taking ownership for improving our existing assets and helping us innovate new ones. You will be directly involved in improving the process and technology improvements needed to further scale our client support model.

Additionally, you will support clients in their use of Periscope to sustainably drive high impact. This involves engaging with client sponsors on a regular basis to drive user adoption.
