Job Mission

This position will be responsible for several site wide EHS programs and processes to safeguard employees and surrounding communities and to ensure that ASML facilities are in compliance with Federal, State and Local regulations.

Job Description
  • Develop and implement environmental, health and safety management systems to integrate EH&S into the business operations.
  • Execute the industrial hygiene program to ensure process changes are properly assessed and adequate monitoring is conducted to confirm existing controls are effective.
  • Assist in management of critical safety programs such as Laser Safety, Lockout/Tagout, environmental protection and OSHA Compliance.
  • Perform risk assessments to understand current processes and proposed process changes.
  • Be responsible for EHS Trainings including training delivery, management of training system, and coordinating 3rd party trainings.
  • Assist in all aspects of incident management, including investigation and reporting of unsafe conditions and industrial incidents.
  • Assist in emergency response and preparedness, and be available to respond to emergencies outside of normal business hours (nights, weekends).
  • Lead EHS Committee to promote employee engagement and education throughout the site.
  • Perform physical inspections of the facilities, equipment, and working conditions to identify and correct potential hazards.
  • Assist with maintaining environmental programs including hazardous waste, air quality, stormwater and wastewater programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education

BS degree in occupational safety, industrial hygiene, physical sciences, biological sciences, engineering or other technical field required.

Experience

Minimum 10 years EHS experience.

Personal skills
  • Certified Safety Professional or Certified Industrial Hygienist or Certified Laser Safety professional preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience with EHS programs in the state of California.
  • Experience leading or understanding and implementing a strong safety culture.
  • EHS training presentation skills required.
  • Experience performing safety analyses on hazardous equipment and environments (Risk Assessment, Hazard Analysis, FMEA, FMECA, etc.)
  • Specific knowledge of semiconductor industry standards & guidelines (SEMI and SEMATECH) preferred.
  • Experience in regulatory compliance standards development.
  • Requires strong communication & interpersonal skills.
  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a matrix organization.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products.
