Software Engineer 2 position in Bellevue, NE supporting Unites States Strategic Command (USSTRATCOM) on the Global Adaptive Planning Collaborative Information Environment (GAP CIE) contract. The candidate should have experience with structured software development methodologies and modern software test tools and techniques. The candidate will work within a cross-functional Scrum team, and will be responsible for developing software, participating in acceptance criteria development, creating scripts and utilizing COTS tools to automate testing, documenting instructions the wiki, and participating in integration activities.
Roles and Responsibilities:
* Lead, design, develop, and test quality software for USSTRATCOM
* Work to empower a cross-functional team delivery customer value across all aspects of the value stream
Clearance:Secret clearance required; Interim secret required within 270 days of start.
Qualifications for Level 2:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field in the Software/information technology industry
- Ability to work on cross-function Scrum team focused on quality and capability delivery
- Experience with HTML, CSS
- Experience with Java development
- Experience with JavaScript (AngularJS)
- Experience working with web services
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery
- Experience with version control (Mercurial, Git)
- Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
- Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming)
- U.S. Citizenship
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred:
- Experience maintaining complex enterprise systems
- Familiarity with VMWare
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, Chef
- Familiarity with Test automation practices (Junit, Selenium, Karma, and Protractor)
- Familiarity with Java EE administration (Oracle Application Stack)
- Familiarity with relational databases such as Oracle
- Familiarity with trunk based development
- Familiarity with Secure software development practices (Fortify)
