Description | POSITION: Administrative Assistant SUPERVISOR: Railton Place Program Director STATUS: Non-Exempt/Full-time OVERVIEW: The Railton Place Administrative Assistant provides professional administrative support to the Railton Place Program Director and Social Service staff of Railton Place. The position duties include contract compliance reporting which requires the preparation of statistical spreadsheets and reports for both internal and governmental contracts. QUALIFICATIONS: 1. An A.A. degree or higher education in business or related field is preferred. 2. 1-2 years of additional related administrative office/clerical experience is preferred. 3. Must be at least 21 years of age. 4. Must have a valid California driver license. 5. Detail oriented and the ability to support Director in ensuring contract compliance. 6. Must have command of the English language and possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. 7. Maintain highest level of integrity and confidentiality in all areas of personnel, programs and operations. 8. Energetic, enthusiastic self-starter with creative problem-solving abilities. 9. Must have excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint. 10. Must be able to type 50 wpm. 11. Ability to set goals, plan, and organize. 12. Excellent organizational/office skills and the ability to carry out multiple projects efficiently and accurately. 13. Must possess and demonstrate an ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. 14. Able to work independently with minimal supervision and as a member of a team. 15. Maintain good rapport and communication with other staff members, corps personnel and the public. 16. Knowledge of Salvation Army programs, practices, policies and organization desirable. 17. Demonstrated ability to listen and follow-though on instructions and to work well under pressure and deadlines. 18. Able to create and maintain multiple filing systems.
