This position is part of our college intern program. Internships are typically 12 weeks during the summer months. This internship is available for four-year college students the summer before their graduation date.

As an analytics intern at Securian, you will support our digital analytics team in the creation of predictive models, the creation of web analytics reports and dashboards, and the presentation of analytical insights to our internal business partners.

1. Assist with the end to end creation of predictive models. Including data extraction, cleansing, and model development.

2. Support development of repeatable data extraction/cleansing process, to help expedite future modeling efforts.

3. Validate accuracy of predictive models.

4. Assist with the maintenance of quarterly run predictive models.

5. Develop useful web analytics reports to gain a better understanding of how users are engaging with Securian's digital assets.

6. Partner with Digital Brand team to measure impact of paid media campaigns.

7. Present analytical insights to a wide range of internal business partners.

1. Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in mathematics, statistics, data science or other related field.

2. Experience with analytics software such as R, SAS, SPSS, JMP, etc.

3. Well-developed written and oral communication skills.

4. Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and tasks.

5. Excellent work ethic and positive attitude.

6. Solid team player.

7. Strong attention to detail.

1. Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications or other related field.

2. Proficiency in Excel, PowerPoint and Word

3. Self-directed with strong organizational skills.

4. A track record of excellent academic performance (GPA 3.0 )
