This position will support the area purchasing and supplier network NAFTA with focus on supply chain and quality of supplied parts.The Intern will receive a broad overview of the function of an American car manufacturing company. During the training period the intern will be exposed to procurement and quality management of supplied parts within BMW MC. Focus will be quality processes in support of the QMT in the operative business, creating of quality related evaluations and introduction to respective IT systems.The intern will also get an excellent overview about the interdisciplinary problem-solving process for supplied parts for cars in series production as well as for new models and design packages.

Duties will include a mixture of support tasks and small projects management including, but not limited to, the following:

• Schedule meetings with internal teams and suppliers for quality related topics
• Project and KPI tracking and reporting
• Inspection and review of suspect parts
• Attend project meetings and compile notes and action items
• Create presentations and communication documents using Corporate Identity standards
• Daily use of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint) and SharePoint

• Successfully completed an internship/working student assignment within the BMW group (3 month period minimum)
• Be currently enrolled in a University study program outside of the US
• Completed intermediate diploma/pre-degree
