MasTec is currently seeking Underground Electric Operators.
Responsibilities:
- Operate various construction equipment
- Perform service, safety checks and minor repairs on equipment
- Work with maintenance crew or laborer crew when not operating equipment
- Comply with proper safety standards and expectations
- Visually assess digging areas to ensure it has been properly staked/located prior to digging
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Class A license or permit
- 1 yr. experience driving a straight truck and/or straight truck/trailer combo
- Able and willing to work outdoors, run mini excavator or backhoe, working with underground crew, pulling wire, burying conduit, setting transformers and poles
- Able to lift and carry at least 50 lbs
- Able to perform physically demanding tasks
- Able to work some nights and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2 yrs. Construction experience
- Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of basic laborer skills
