Job Description

DEA's California Region, with offices in San Diego, Temecula, Victorville, Ontario, Tustin, Los Angeles and Santa Clarita is searching for a Senior Land Survey Project Manager / Client Manager for the Los Angeles area office locations. The primary focus for this position will be client management, business development, writing proposals, developing and managing project budgets and schedules, marketing clients for control, boundary, topography, ALTA, right of way, and construction surveying services for public and private clients. DEA is dedicated to a revenue generating survey business line, utilizing cutting edge technology that allows us to be a leader in terrestrial, GPS, 3D laser scanning and hydrographic surveying.

Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Support the vision, goals and objectives for the region and support the California Survey and Geomatics Market Leader in achieving them
  • Pursuit champion; manage and coordinate pursuits with the business unit business development manager, regional BU and Segment managers, other PM's and the business unit/marketing manager
  • Developing tactical action plans for project, and, or client pursuits
  • Provide input in the development of the business development budget for the BU in the region
  • Managing client/market development teams in the region to address client expectations and outcomes
  • Meeting regional sales goal and client satisfaction and survey participation results collectively with other business development staff in Land Development and Transportation markets.
  • Identify top desired clients for the year; vet and establish regional client/market development teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must have current California PLS registration
  • 20+ years of overall surveying experience
  • Project/Client Management experience with local Los Angeles area clients
  • Project experience in land development, construction, transportation, light rail, and/or port projects
