As a Seamstress/Tailor (Production Associate) at Galls you will be hands-on altering our nation's Public Safety professionals' uniforms and equipment. You will ensure all measurements and fittings are done properly, accurately, and efficiently - so that they can wear that uniform proudly. At Galls, we are P.R.O.U.D. to Serve, and it all starts on our Production and Value-Added Service Team.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
* Read and accurately identify the customer's needs per the Work Instruction Document
* Take necessary measurements and mark garments for alterations with ability to problem solve individual sizing issues
* Perform uniform sewing, alternations, and embellishments with accuracy and efficiency to include taking up stride, lengthening/shortening tails on shirts, tapering shirts, adjusting waists, hemming trousers, mending tears, replacing zippers, applying patches, applying name strips, applying striping and applying patches
* Operate industrial sewing machinery and meet production deadlines
* Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs

WHAT YOU BRING
* High school diploma or GED equivalent required
* Previous experience in Alterations
* Well-versed on industrial Sewing machines
* Ability to effectively read/receive work instructions in English
* Extremely detail-oriented and quality-focused - you're not happy with mistakes
* Solid communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
* Ability to stand or sit for long periods of time, bend, stretch, twist and lift, with or without reasonable accommodation
