Position Description
The Senior Director reports directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. The position also has a strong dotted line relationship with the Regional General Manager, is co-located with Regional General Manager in Quest's regional office and will serve as a member of the regional senior leadership team. This role will develop specific short and long-term growth plans based upon market insights including local competitive landscapes, evolving market trends, and local customer dynamics within the region.
The ideal candidate will have worked with a leading management consulting firm or in an in-house strategic marketing capacity within the healthcare industry or a related field. A minimum of five years of healthcare industry experience and 10+ years of strategic marketing experience is required. In addition, leadership of others and a successful track record of identifying product marketing insights and trends is critical.

In order to successfully respond to the challenges of the role, the successful candidate will need to:
Identify, size and prioritize growth opportunities in the region at the sub-market level
Identify the strategic focus areas and priority areas (customers, products) for the region
Serve as primary source of market insight on the local competitive landscape; ongoing regional market trends; and region-specific customer insights/opportunities.
Develop region's annual and long-term growth plans, including acquisition targets and key partnerships
Participate on a Regional Leadership team with the General Manager, contributing to the broader strategic decisions about the business
Sharing region-specific insights to inform product and customer plans; drive development of competitive response strategies
Translate and ensure communication of regional strategic priorities in Customer Marketing Plans
Responsible for the oversight of the development and implementation of regional marketing plan
Ensure judicious use of national programs in their region while meeting specific local needs with local program
Coordinate closely with commercial, operations and other business teams
Report progress of growth plans and initiatives to Regional General Managers and other senior leaders (as necessary)
Drive re-balancing of priorities to meet unexpected needs of the region
Manage marketing spend on programs and use spend effectiveness measurement to improve programs and resource allocation
