Lead Enterprise Architecture initiatives across VSP Global. Provide architecture leadership to enable the Business, EPMO, and GTS to coherently coordinate, integrate, and conduct their activities to deliver Strategic Business and GTS initiatives. Provide technical leadership across VSP Global to facilitate innovative enterprise solutions.

Provide consultative expertise and leadership to influence VSP Global in the architecture, design, development, and execution of technology initiatives and modernization activities particularly for new and/or shared enterprise solutions.

Provide the leadership and expertise in one or more of the following enterprise architecture domains to support the delivery of the strategic initiatives. e.g. Business Architecture, Application Architecture, Information Architecture, Infrastructure/Technical Architecture, Integration Architecture, Security Architecture, and Solutions Architecture.

Partner and collaborate with the key stakeholders and domain architects to establish the needed roadmaps for planning, execution, and implementation of the strategic initiatives.

Develop and maintain the enterprise Capability Maps and Value Streams to enable future-state architectural decisions and directions.

Perform Capability-based planning, Impact/Gap Analysis, Benefit, and Cost Analysis to enable the target state architecture directions.

Develop architecture roadmaps to drive key strategic initiatives. e.g. the current state architecture, transition state architecture, and the target state architecture.

Develop Architecture frameworks in alignment with GTS strategy.
Develop platform architectures related to enterprise platforms and reference architectures for Cloud and Integration domains.

Provide the Enterprise Architecture Governance by creating and maintaining the Engagement Models, Guiding Principles, Reference Architectures, Standards, and Decisions necessary to guide and direct the enterprise towards achieving the desired business outcomes.

Create and maintain the enterprise architecture models and various architectural views needed to design solid enterprise solutions. e.g. conceptual, logical, and physical views.

Oversee and facilitate the evaluation and selection of new technology solutions to be leveraged across multiple solutions/projects to maximize efficiency and effectiveness, ultimately resulting in technical design, and plan for even the most complex of problems to resolve business or technical needs/issues across VSP.

Facilitate architectural guidance and advice when needed to ensure all aspects of the development process meet architectural guidelines and are adaptable to future technology solutions.

Be the architectural expert, sought after for technical expertise and guidance to fulfill alignment between business and technology strategy and to provide optimal technology functions for the business.

Influence information strategy through rationalization of the information value chain; provide strategic recommendations to maximize the value of information assets via their creation, access, and use.

Maintain the currency of deep and broad technical knowledge; introduce applicable technology in alignment with VSP goals and for creative solutions.

Typically has the following skills or abilities:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related study or equivalent related experience.

Minimum of twelve years of experience with a depth of knowledge in two or more of the following Enterprise Architecture domains. e.g.

Business Architecture, Application Architecture, Information Architecture, Infrastructure/Technical Architecture, Integration Architecture, Security Architecture, and Solutions Architecture.

Solid understanding of Enterprise Architecture Frameworks like TOGAF.

Ability to balance the long-term ("big picture") and short-term implications of individual decisions.

Read and write current programming languages; excellent knowledge of current development and production cycles/processes.

Excellent knowledge of software and systems design patterns and understanding of how and when to apply them.

Broad knowledge of the systems across the enterprise as well as business process knowledge.

Excellent organization, time management, planning, and facilitation skills.

Experience leading technology projects; demonstrated ability to collaborate, direct, mentor, and train others to optimal outcomes.

Strategic view of where the business is headed and how technology may be leveraged to attain business goals.

Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to communicate complex issues using simple concepts adjusted to the audience and their skills.
