JOB SUMMARY:

Mindbody is the industry leading software powering health, wellness and beauty businesses. We are looking for a front-end software engineer to help us develop exciting new features for the Marketing Products Suite, a fast-growing Mindbody product that allows business owners to market to their customers with email and text message automations. [Businesses that use our product can 2x their retention and sales].

Engineers on the Frederick team work on several software applications across a microservices architecture, with full test coverage, continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD). Front-end development primarily utilizes React, while back-end development primarily utilizes Ruby-on-Rails. This role does not require knowledge of Ruby on Rails, but interest in learning is encouraged. We are open to hiring fully remote for this role in the United States.

DAY-TO-DAY:

• Works on cross functional projects within a scrum team to bring new and exciting features to life.
• Collaborates with other developers, product managers, architects and designers on projects from initial concept to design and architecture, with growth opportunities such as leading projects.
• Participates in regular code reviews within their team.
• Writes automated tests, including comprehensive unit and integration tests.
• Creates and refines best practices, coding standards and documentation and takes the opportunity to share knowledge across the team.

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM:

• Proficiency working with React in a scaled production environment.
• Experience working with a JavaScript unit testing framework such as Jest /Mocha/Jasmine.
• Experience creating high quality software in a team environment.
• Experience designing complex systems and building products using microservice architecture.
• Experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• Strong sense of ownership and ability to work cross functionally.
• Interest in moving towards full-stack work and learning back-end.
• Passion for troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Detail-oriented, professional and positive work attitude.
• Ability to communicate professionally both verbally and in writing.
• Experience with writing and maintaining high level test coverage, including both unit and integration tests.
