Job Description

OVERVIEW:

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) performs a high-volume of cold-call engagements, actively uses their discovery and listening skills to identify potential customers, generate net new opportunities which are passed to their region's sales team and ensure the accuracy of SFDC data. This role reports to the Manager, Inside Sales.

TEAM OVERVIEW:

The Sales Development Representative team is a growing team of SDR's that drives interest within an assigned list of prospects. Great opportunity to develop sales skills and learn about the business. The team helps leading e-commerce sellers understand our value and ability to help them fulfill their products to their buyers using the most efficient and economical path. The role partners with our Field Sales Representatives to drive opportunities. We are looking for driven folks interested in a Sales career to join our growing SDR team.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Primary Objectives:

  1. Prospect, educate, qualify and develop leads into sales-ready opportunities
  2. Document all Activities in Salesforce to ensure efficient lead management
  3. Exceed monthly and quarterly targets

Essential Position Duties (typical monthly, weekly, daily tasks):

  1. Prospect, educate, qualify and develop leads into sales-ready opportunities
    • Establish and build rapport with prospects via telephone and email
    • Calling Prospects/Answering Prospect Calls
    • Successfully manage and overcome sales objections to develop interest
    • Emailing Prospects/Responding to Prospect Emails using Outlook
    • Transform marketing and prospected leads into qualified sales opportunities
    • Research target contacts and accounts
    • Target company/contact research
    • Vetting Leads against existing records
  2. Document all Activities in Salesforce to ensure efficient lead management
    • Capture accurate and complete prospect information.
    • Salesforce Activity Notes, Lead Stage change and Opportunity builds (1 hour per day)
  3. Exceed monthly and quarterly targets

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or related field of study a plus
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience as an SDR or BDR (ideally in a SaaS or technology company)

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Heavy outbound sales Calls
  • Excellent telephone and personal demeanor
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to uncover customer problems and identify solutions
  • Ability to overcome objections
  • Goal oriented and self-starter

Computer/Software Proficiency:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Working knowledge of CRMs (Salesforce preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Windows PC Environment

Additional Job Duties:

  • Sit for prolonged periods of time.
  • Utilize wrist and hands for a prolonged period of time.
  • Walk short distances.
  • Stand for short periods.
  • Speaking and conversing with others.
  • Lift up to 25lbs without assistance up.
