a.i. solutions is seeking an Engineer with experience in orbital mechanics to support operations of experimental satellite systems. The Orbital Analyst will support Concept Exploration, Mission Readiness and Satellite Operations for unique, one-of-a-kind satellite systems at Kirtland AFB, NM. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to embrace the a.i. solutions mission and work to continually exceed the expectations of our customers.

Essential Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient and novel flight dynamics algorithms for use in real time spacecraft operations and off-line analysis
  • Guide the integration of flight dynamics software components and systems through the entire software development life cycle including trade studies, requirement definition, development, unit and integration testing, anomaly resolution and sustainment
  • Coordinate and communicate with users to understand spacecraft operations concepts, software and system requirements, and anomalies
  • Work with government project management to establish schedules, identify resources, and report project status; give technical direction to development team to meet project milestones
  • Document and communicate your work to peers and customers through both formal informal forums
  • Continually research the latest progress in flight dynamics analysis, software, and operations to grow our value to the customer

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related discipline
  • Experience or education in orbital mechanics
  • Currently posses an active DoD TS security clearance with SCI eligibility
  • U.S. citizenship

  • Proactivity in identifying and addressing challenges to include innovations that result in positive organizational impact
  • Ability to script in PERL, C# or other scripting languages
  • C, C++ or related programming experience
