Overview

Jensen Hughes is seeking a Team Leader (Director level) to join our Denver office. This position is responsible for leading a team of technical staff providing fire protection and life safety consulting services. The position has a strong focus on staff engagement and career development.

Responsibilities

The position is responsible for providing leadership to Managers, PM's and is a people leader to staff across all service lines with a primary focus on Fire engineering and life safety consulting services. The position provides mentoring, overall technical direction and fosters a positive work culture for his/her teams. Foster a culture of acceptance and diversity in thought. Promote employee engagement and satisfaction by ensuring positive work enviornment, work-life balance, guidance towards career goals and interests, and competitive reward. Maintain strong working relationships with clients and colleagues to deliver quality products, on time and within budget. Manage client expectations and relationships through clear and thoughtful communication and assist team members in doing the same. Ensure business processes are implemented and recommend improvement for delivering of best in class service. Assist in recruiting and retaining top talent.

Qualifications
    Typically requires 8-12 years' experience and demonstrated successful history in performing technical consulting work and developing and cultivating client relationships.
  • Typically requires Bachelor's Degree (B.S.) in Engineering or another technical field.
  • Experience in professional service business processes.
  • Advanced communication and presentation skills with the ability to deliver sales presentations to clients.
  • Professional Engineering License, P.Eng, Charterered Engineer or another professional designation desirable.
