Jensen Hughes has a job opportunity for an experienced Smoke Control and Fire Alarm technician/Consultant in our Concord, CA office. We are a leading fire protection consulting firm providing a range of professional services involving life safety, fire protection, security and mass notification on commercial, institutional and industrial projects for clients worldwide.

Project management and assist with Design of fire alarm detection and mass notification systems.
• Assist with Preparation and reporting of technical reports, specifications, design drawings and presentations.
• Review design and construction submittals for compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Availability and flexibiltiy to perform site surveys to inspect and evaluate building features and systems.

Successful candidates will have:

• Bachelor's degree in Fire Protection or a related field preferred
• A minimum of five (5) years' experience in fire alarm and detection system design.
• NICET certification in fire alarm or special hazards system design is desirable
• Excellent communication (written and verbal), negotiating and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to present clearly and technically sound design strategies.
